Some folks have been asking about The Transparent Tarot…

So here’s a recent reading I did, however, you may wish to look at it like this…

Isn’t it fun?

The garden continues to keep us busy.

Here’s one of our seasonal companions, a tomato bug.

A pineapple guava…

Here are some of our lime harvest…

And some carrots, don’t you just love those colors?

And then there’s the house…

You guys remember the kitchen wallpaper, right?

Well, I decided it was time to start forgetting it…

For the most part this went fairly well, except for the part where they had wallpapered

then enameled over it and then repapered with the same patterned paper. “How odd” thought I as I worked away, and then I found this…

Yup the sink pipes have been leaking into the wall which is now rotting, and now this section must be removed. We were thinking of getting a new sink and putting in a drinking water filtration system at some point, I guess it will be sooner than later.

The Blue Equinox

Lot’s has been happening!

Our corn has ripened!

Given that it’s blue corn (yes, like blue corn chips) we may dry it and try to pop it.

Speaking of blue…

This guy sure was a surprise when he swung by, but he only spent the afternoon with us.

And then there was the blue car getting it’s breaks done, next up will be new tires and an alignment.

Did I mention I drove on the freeway this weekend.

The Water Hyacinth bloomed with their pretty blue peacock tail like flowers.

And then there were the blue paddles on our kayak that we have gotten into going out in (again).

And finally a beautiful blue bloom!

As for me I’m off to try Carly’s Archangel Tarot Spread with my Transparent Tarot deck.

So much has been going on!

First I’d like to thank Anna for her glorious gift…

Isn’t it delightful?

I love it!

And the best part of all…

It comes with a matching plate, however could it get better?

I found it’s little brother!

It’s a family affair!

In other news…

Our ginger bloomed…

As did somebody else, and his iris buddy…

Puppy wants to take out the triangle palm…

and the surrounding brickwork to put in fruit trees and raised beds, I like the triangle palm, however I see his point (if we’re gonna water it…).

Speaking of watering…

We are prepping to collect rain water this winter, and yes those are feral traps we caught the mamma and got her fixed, but the kittens scattered and the boys haven’t been by in a while.

Also on the saving water effort this is on our shopping list in the near future…

Lets you flush with recycled water from washing your hands.

I really like it.

We have continued to preserve food…

These are some of our sweet tomatoes before dehydration…

and after. The “chips” are really tasty almost like candy.

I’m thinking it’s about time I made another list, just for the fun of it.

The kitchen will hopefully be finished by thanksgiving, however I do need to stay on track with that, and then these the floors in the back of the house and the general bathroom revamp. Lots of little things to list.

Finally, before I forget there’s a great give away going on over at The Fifty Factor!

Been Busy!

The tea room is almost complete so to that end…

Brooke, Puppy and I brought the teacups home.

We unpacked the teapots too!

And then I received this wonderful gift from my dear friend Nutty Fish.

Isn’t it beautiful!

I don’t know about you, but…

Our corn was a little more than “Knee high on the 4th of July”.

And they seem awful thirsty…

Oh yeah!

As for out pumpkin patch…

I mean tomato patch, well…

They seem to be growing on trees!

(Apple trees that is)

My proverbial wall of glass…

Hawaiian architectural philosophy involved the concept of bringing the outside inside.

In truth these photos are available due to the fact that save for a touch up our living room is painted!

Green Eyed Momster has been asking about this table for a while…

In truth this is the first time this year that it’s been cleaned off enough to photograph.

So now we are independent of our redecorating for this project, happy 4th y’all!

The wall is finished…

Puppy did a great job!

He resurfaced the walls.

He resecured the shelves.

Puppy refinished them.

Then he primed the wall.

After that he painted the wall.

Then he added the extra half shelves.

And finished the trim.

I have to wait a week for the paint to cure before I put my cups up, but you know when I do…

There will be more photos.

House updates!

Well heres the old parts from the washing machine…

Puppy replaced them with all round ones again!

Then there was the kitchen sink…

The pipe rotted out.

And then it snapped…

As we were taking it out of the wall.

We had to get a new part just for it…

It was big.

Puppy was excited!

He had to borrow a special tool from work just for it!

He did a good job…

Even the inspector said so…

Now he’s resurfacing the walls in the tea room…

Before he reworks the shelves…

For my teacup collection.
